ROADNET® Transportation Suite (RTS) Web Services

Web Services are a standardised method of integrating web-based applications using open standards over an Internet protocol backbone. The importance of Web Services is that it enables multiple software applications to share business logic, data and processes through a programmatic interface across a network. In general terms, Web Services allow different software applications from different sources to communicate with each other without knowledge of each others operating systems or programming language.

What can RTS Web Services Do?

RTS Web Services enable customers to execute basic business logic that is found within the Roadnet Transportation Suite from within their own software applications. In addition, the services provide the ability to insert, store, retrieve and manipulate transportation-related information residing in the centralised RTS database. RTS Web Services enable deep integration and distribution of this transportation information across the entire enterprise.
